You Know You're Over The Target...

Comment comment by LordDilly on 29 January 2007

...when you start taking flak. I watched the Glenn Beck Show Friday when Glen addressed this very issue. He showed a montage of dozens of different times when he specifically said that the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful people, yet these Muslim Groups seem intent on stifling any discussion on Islamic terrorism, as if there are so many other types of terrorists giving us problems in the world. It boggles my mind.

The nearest comparison I can make is those mouth-breathing inbreds at the Westboro Baptist Church- every Christian who ever mention them slams these ignorant wackjobs and points out how way out of touch they are with the actual teachings of Christ. Yet imagine if instead every time the news highlighted those nutjobs the Vatican, say, would insist that whatever news organization aired the report was engaging in "Christianophobia" and demand the firing of any TV personality that ever spoke out against the Westboro Baptist Church.

For some reason, it seems to me that the major Muslim groups in the U.S. seem to care more for eliminating all mention of the connection between terrorism and Islam instead of actively combating terrorism within the Islamic sphere.

which makes me wonder if they even care about the terrorism? With this kind of attitude, can the US trust Muslims? It seems the answer has to be no, unless something really changes.
