Folklore

Comment comment by Bortnyk on 30 November 2006

That raises a great poll question: What is the most disturbing holiday myth/folk legend that you have ever heard? a. Krampus b. Vengeful Flying Spaghetti Monster c. ETC.

Personally I remember hearing as a child that the German Santa Klaus gave presents to good children and hit bad kids, but not to the extent of Krampus's pants-wetingness.

It's funny how Santa Clause scare kids more than Halloween.

[No offense Santa, please don't hit me! I've been a good person this year]

Um... 2 Kings 2:23-24? Pretty damn disturbing.

23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.
