Makes Me Suspicious

I don't like it when people or researchers try to add some crediblity to their find by saying 'has been in use since ancient times.' Know what, in ancient times people also thought bleeding out was a useful remedy and anathetisia consisted of smashing the patient over the head with a rock. Let's just have modern research and the results.

My personal favorite 'old practice' was the shot of whiskey and biting down on a stick. That and having a few big fellows subdue the thrashing victim.

Well, you shouldn't be some hard on our ancestors. After all, we would never be here if it weren't for them. Mistakes are made and corrected. It's called learning. As for Bleeding, there is some sense to that. If you were bitten by a snake, you would have to draw the poison out of sucking some of the contaminated blood out. Even in modern medicine, people use clean Maggots and Leeches to clean wounds and help Blood circulation.
