RE: I still contend....
The carbon cycle (release/plant etc uptake) implies a self correcting system. Given that we still have life on the planet, I'd be inclined to believe it works and is robust. My real fear is that when it's gone wrong, like very low CO2 levels, we've ended up with global cooling. Those are catastrophic.
