Hmmm. Full of racism, violence, etc. eh? Pretty interesting criticism from someone from a country of about 20M with a tiny fraction of the ethnic diversity and population density, obviating the opportunity to see if it's really your enlightened attitudes up there or lack of experience that makes it such a paradise.

As for naming all the states and all of that crap, I've never been a fan of rote memorization, and it certainly doesn't tell me someone is educated because they have a bunch of crap memorized. However, Canada does have a very good education system, but depending on whom you believe, and what organization provides the stats, you don't necessarily come out ahead of the US.

Oh, and before you try to get into some kind of nasty nationalistic brawl with me on this, I for one can respect my Canadian friends (and I literally mean I have Canadian friends and colleagues I respect). For example, I honor the Canadian soldiers who have fought side by side with other NATO soldiers in Afghanistan, and done so very well. Canada is an integral/inseperable part of the US economy and vice versa. I can't remember the exact number, but Canada is a partner at NASA that provides a certain portion of the aerospace parts used by NASA, as well as a lot of the R&D. The Deputy Commander of the US Army III Corps is a Canadian.

I could go on and on. My point here is that while some people seem to take pleasure in poking others in the eye, I think we all need to remember what we have in common and cherish the friends we have.
