I only had the opportunity to know one real Korean person in my life; he was brought in as the pastor at our church a few years back. Aside from being one of the more intelligent people I've ever met, the other thing that struck me the most was the difference in appreciation for humor. As we Americans sat joking and laughing like we're apt to do, you could tell he didn't understand our brand of humor. Then, when he would make a joke, it would be lost on us for the most part.
