That being said, I don't think it would hurt to start using alternative fuels and practicing energy saving techniques to be on the safe side

Exactly as I always said. The question arises, is how many folks on the Al Gore "We're all gonna die RIGHT NOW!" side are insisting on extreme measures, not because they actually give a damn about Global Warming per se, but whose agenda is more about imposing a global carbon tax and keeping dirt-ass poor Africa from industrializing and raising their standards of living into the 21st century?
