Two points for this:
1) Anyone wishing to celebrate slavery or the KKK has a group, that being the KKK.
2)Minority celebrations are not always PC. One could say Nat Turner St. (which is near the streat on which I live - although that is much more about being on William Styron Sq.) is in poor taste. Surely, it is noteworthy that he led a slave revolution, but he also did some very terrible things, slaughtering women and children - even those that could not yet speak.

Perspective.
It all depends on what part of white culture they are celebrating. If they are celebrating the part about slavery and KKK, then it's racist.
