Pakistan will boil over very soon

Pakistan is about to have an election and all news from there at present is tainted by political interests.

Dictator Musharif has stacked the high court and rigged the constitution to give himself extrordinary powers as prime minister, but he might have shot himself in the foot if the PM position goes to someone else - which is unlikely. He is the fourth dictator in the short history of Pakistan and the other three were removed by the Army - either by murder or a quiet word in the ear. This one will be also, but when? The problem is that whatever happens the army will still be in control. Perhaps this is better than a civil war with an unknown winner who could favor terrorists with nuclear weapons.

Musharif supports certain terrorists and has to go quickly.

This is a much more serious problem than the one we are bleeding over in Iraq.
