Blood transfusions saved my life

Comment comment by Brandon on 03 December 2007

If it weren't for enough blood transfusions to fill up my system 2.5 times back in 1997, I wouldn't have been around this year to partake of the goodness of O-Nerd, watch A&M beat the pants of t.u., or father the most handsome baby ever born.

Not In The Bible by LordDilly :: NR8

I friend of mine who was a Jehovah's Witness around 9/11 refused to go with me to give blood on religious grounds, saying that the Bible tells us blood is sacred and must hit the ground when spilt. Except that part was in the Old Testament and referred to animal sacrifice, something abrogated by the Crucification. But the Jehovah's believe a lot of goofy stuff that either has nothing to do with actual Biblical Doctrine or has been re-interpreted nine ways to Sunday. If you ask me, giving blood seems like a very Christian thing to do, thus making it quite alright to also receive blood.

Is that from being hit by a bus?
