Interesting story from a psychological perspective
While a little wordy at times, I thought this to be an interesting look at the psychology of someone in dire straights. Some seemingly unnecessary details in the beginning, such as describing Aaron's first urination after becoming trapped, are revealed later as very pertinent. (In this case because drinking his own urine became Aaron's only source of water.) Other details, however, actually are unnecessary, such as describing the play-by-play actions of some friends and family while he was missing. (Perhaps he was attempting to just get everything down on paper so he wouldn't forget?)
In the end, it's a worthy easy read for the peeks it provides into the perseverance of human will - as well as the countless times it allows one to ask, "What would I do in that situation?"
