curiousity
To mee it seems clear the US or Iraq will have to do something about the PKK if they want to keep Turkey out of Iraq (I mean Turkey does have a valid point about wanting to get at terrorists hiding in another sovereign nation. Isn't that afterall what the US has done repeatedly?) My question is whether the US or Iraq has the ability to deal with the PKK. Can the US fight AL Qaida, the Sadr militias and still send some guys up into the Iraqi mountains to fight the Kurds? I really don't know, but my guess is no. I also doubt with much doubtfulness that the Kurds would appreciate the Iraqi government attempting to root out their PKK brothers. Isn't an independent Kurdistan a pretty accepted goal throughout the Kurdish world?
