Whats out there

I don't think it has anything to do with age. I think it has a lot to do with the enviroment the child is brought up in. What kind of music, movies and T.V. shows are they exposed to? Do they have older siblings? Who are their firends? Do they ride the bus home? If it's made to look cool they will want to do it. I think as soon as they are exposed to it, it needs to be discussed.

Do you really want to provide reactionary parenting, though? Would it not be advantageous for the parents to provide the initial learning experience, rather than some kid on the bus?
