I don't recall putting Pacino or Connery on there. I think the Omninerd powers that be added those. I may be mistaken.

One could certainly argue Pacino was tough in Scarface or Godfather. Connery, tough? Don't think so. Drinking martinis, when all these other guys have drunk whiskey in their films, isn't going to cut it. He has beaten his wife, though. So maybe he's the toughest wife-beater.

Clint Eastwood is my pick, although if you watch Rocky get punched around in six films you might be inclined to vote for Sly.

I'm surprised Arnold hasn't gotten any votes. He looks short, although Wiki says he is 6'2". I don't believe it.

It was a toss up for me over Clint or John Wayne. Who can forget John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn in True Grit sitting atop his horse, facing four or five other mounted opponents, and when Robert Duvall's character calls him a one-eyed fat man, John Wayne gives the line of his career: "Fill you hands, you sonubabitch!" before shooting down his foes. Another of my favorite John Wayne movies is The Quiet Man, which makes me seriously consider finding a nice little Irish town as much like the one presented in the movie to live in when I retire, the modern world be-damned.

Then, we have Clint- Dirty Harry, Heartbreak Ridge, the Man With No Name trilogy, Kelly's Heroes (btw- is it me, or has that movie been seen by all armor crewmen in the military?) Paint Your Wagon...er...ignore that last one... Unforgiven, The Outlaw Josey Wales- need I say more?

Now wait a minute, in defense of the martini, properly made, its almost a glass of pure gin. A shot of whiskey doesn't hold a candle to a well made martini - its tough and classy. My problem, despite the fact that I'm a huge Jame Bond fan, is that he drinks vodka martinis. Damn you, Ian Fleming.
