Do computer languages count?

Comment comment by wyldeling on 08 August 2006

One measure of fluency in a language is the ability to think in that language. Which would make me fluent in 2-3 computer languages, and passable in about 4 others. Also, the language processing center in the brain is the same for both computer languages and human ones. So, can I count them in the poll?

I once wrote an Ada95 program that both functioned and could be read in English ... had something to do with suidcide ... ah, those were some good, bitter days in college. :-)

And I'm with you, you can count computer languages if you think in them. I mean:

if ($thinkingInThem) {
  $languageCount++;
}
