There were times and reasons for polygamous marriages were acceptable and necessary, like when there were serious disparities in the numbers of men and women.
I chose "mail order bride" because of the lack of real consent or love here. In most cases this is nothing more than a marriage of convenience for both parties and pretty much a sham or at best little better than a business contract, not a sacriment.
I gotta say that I think a lot of people blame there distaste of homosexual unions on God, but I think really it is just a knee-jerk reaction to something different.
I don't think when most people (who disapprove of the act) see two homosexual (guys) kiss, they think... "oh, God wouldn't approve of that and so I find it distateful." I think they go, "eww, gross. I would never want to kiss another guy."
It isn't until later they decide they need to base there distaste on something better than personal preference.
But then again, maybe I am wrong and some people really are that in tune with their belief that it touches them every second of every day in every action they do. If so, they are more in tune than me.

For the Christians choosing #4 ...
I'm anxious to hear why a homosexual union is more distasteful than a polygamous one. Doesn't the latter directly violate a commandment from God Himself (assuming you believe marriage to be the union of one man and one woman)?
