Yeah, cause two guys doin' 'married stuff' is totally disgusting. Doesn't that qualify for 'distasteful?'
Come on Mark, don't go all "Southern Baptist straw man" on me here ... :-)
But to answer your question with another question, why is anything right or wrong? What other reason would one need than "Jesus [God/Bible] told me so?" In fact, any reson other than "my [insert your Deity/Universal Moral Code here] says it's wrong" is philosophically useless. If you're not basing your position on this issue on an authority with common moral jurisdiction over both you and the other person in question, all you've got left is personal preference ("it's icky"), relativistic nonsense ("it's wrong because it doesn't produce children"), or irrelevent statistics ("homosexuals are 73.87% more likely to spread disease via anal sex").
Lets plug mykerus witty analysis of at least the fundamentalist view. oh and here
And I'm sick of it. When someone comes out disapproving of the homosexual lifestyle, why are they labeled a 'homophobe'? According to dictionary.com, a homophobe is a person that hates or fears homosexual people. I am neither of these. I have known homosexuals in the past and it didn't bother me the slightest to interact with them or to be around them. I know that there truly are homophobic people, but to apply that label to everyone who thinks that homosexuality is wrong is immature. I think that adultery is wrong too...what does that make me?
My reasons are based in my Christianity, so I feel I can also respond to the post about the Christians not voting for the polygamy choice. Your the one that designed the polls to only allow one vote. If it allowed more than one vote, I would have voted for both. To me, they're on the same level...Sin is Sin.

Quite the homophobic crowd ...
I'm just curious if anyone has any reason for anti-homosexual feelings other than, "JESUS told me to!" (Note Southern Baptist inflection.) I can feel the surge of weak statistical evidence amassing as I type this.
