Yeah, I'd say the grocery store self-checkout is about third place behind the airport and post office machines. I use it pretty much every time I shop at the store down the street from my house, regardless of whether I'm over the silly "15 item" limit or not.
I don't have leet scanning and packing skills unfortunately.
Oh, I do. Way l33t. 1337, even. My way to make the mundane milk & bread run more exciting is to race the other customers who arrived at the other machines before me, and with fewer items. Even with the handicap, those silly n00bs get totally pwned by me every time. w00t.
Whoa, whoa, whoa... TAMS? I had no idea there were fellow TAMSters on here (other than cpeel, jandaman, toconnor, and maybe a couple others from the class of '97 of which both markmcb and I are a part).
Maybe I just missed something and should know that you go (went?) to TAMS... but I don't. In any case, the more TAMS people on O-nerd, the better.

Airplanes all the way
I have to go with the airport check-in kiosks as that is the only one I\'ve used extensively. Less waiting time while making your flight for TAMS closed weekend is always good.
Grocery store self-check out is nice too, but only if there is a long line at the regular check out lines. I don\'t have leet scanning and packing skills unfortunately.
