Tough Choice, but the 90's Rule

Comment comment by markmcb on 20 March 2005

It was a tough choice between the 80's and 90's. But when I started thinking about it, my four most favorite bands (Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, R.E.M., and The Smashing Pumpkins) were all huge in the 90's. The 80's metal was good, but it's not my favorite. The other three decades didn't even stand a chance. You have to go back to Beethoven before you'll find much stuff written prior to 1980 that I enjoy.

Don't forget Nirvana. Somehow I just don't see "Let's go to the hop" rating against Nirvana...but I could be wrong.

You don't enjoy hitting up some Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, the Doors or Jimi Hendrix every once in a while? Granted, I like the 90's stuff more (and voted for it), but there was some great stuff in the 70's...
