So ... you didn't like it then? Not even a giggle? Maybe a titter? A smile? No? Well, I guess its suicide for me again...
I see your point somewhat and I have two replies:
1. "Nerd" does not equal academic elite, statistics junkie, or techno-geek. The only criteria I see for being a nerd is liking something a lot. Granted, we aim to post quality academic stuff, but we also aim to highlight the nerdy original products of our readers, even if it's not going to be published or widely spread around the Internet. So, while you may not have liked this, one of our users liked it enough to write it, edit it, and get it posted. I know others have enjoyed it as well. That's enough for me.
2. I would have posted your article instead, but I didn't see it in the queue. Call me silly, but I've a hard time posting content that doesn't exist. If you give me great articles, I assure that we will post them. Help me and you out: submit nerdy content that interests you!

seriously, I thought there were standards
I thought the point of this site was to elicit academic, or at least nerd-ademic (sp?), postings and discussion. This doesn't qualify as either of those...it isn't even high school quality. No offense to the author, but I don't think this deserves the same billing as say a well thought out article on ipod algorithms or fuel economy. It seems a little lame in comparison.
