The math is weak by scottb :: NR7

I think the book really misses its target. While there's intuitively a relationship between math and music, a lot of the examples it gives seem extremely contrived.

The real message I took away from it is that when musicians start looking at the underlying math, their brains turn to mush and they start producing gibberish - both mathematically and musically.
