Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants. This is the author’s six word summary. I really appreciated this book’s simple delivery of information without sounding too preachy. If nothing else, it makes you think twice when you pick up something cool in the grocery store – ‘what exactly IS this?’ you start to ask yourself. The idea I found most reassuring was that humans don’t need scientists to tell them what is healthy and what is not. He compared modern nutrition to old school (or present) religions in which the followers needed a priest to interpret God for them. In nutrition, he claims that nutritionists have assumed that role for humankind. Great read.
