Mother Nature to Blame for Global Warming

Pencil blog by VnutZ on 23 October 2007, tagged as ecology, environment, and global warming

Sure ... mankind may have spewed an inordinate amount of CO2 into the atmosphere, but let's not look beyond the biggest, most devious and dastardly source of heat - Mother Nature. The Queen of Gaea has reared her ugly head again, setting southwestern California ablaze. Forest fires have a flash point of 572 degrees for a self-sustaining burn. Once burning, a forest fire itself typically roils at approximately 1,832 degrees Fahrenheit. In the United States alone, nearly five million acres burn each year. Canadian researchers calculate that the heat released from their fires produces enough energy to power the country for six months! Regarding the recent California fires near San Diego, an e-mailed comment from the website indicates, "The soot was falling so heavily that it blocked out the sun. There was a smoke cloud above our home that seemed to stretch for miles. This was bad."

Thus, I unscientifically conclude, Mother Nature is culpable and responsible for raising the environmental temperature to destructively high levels, for polluting the air to such a degree the sun was blocked, for altering the existing weather patterns via the introduction of such an intense heat pattern and for the reckless endangerment of both humans, animals and endangered species. Al Gore should go scold her.

Nature is one bad mother.
