Hypothetically speaking, if Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan or any other county had the high tech weapons capabilities that the U.S. currently possess, and the United States had none, how long would North America stand? Would any of these countries use their "super power?" What would happen if U.S. took off its gloves and launched an unmeasured attack on a strategic location in Middle-East? Might it have the same affect on that conflict that it did on World War II?
In fifty years Iran Motors will control U.S. car market! Sorry Toyota.
Counter attacks from various terrorists would be likely. The hatred towards the US is far more spread than the Axis enemies during WWII. Also, the Japanese intelligence of that era far supersedes the thinking of Middle East terrorists. Even terrorism's wisest leaders know not when to quit. They cannot differentiate the idea of losing a battle and suicide. Both cultures believed strongly in giving their lives for their cause, the Japanese though knew the boundries of moralism and could individuate between killing oneself for an objective and killing oneself for senseles destruction and utter anihilation. Unfortunately for the Middle East and the rest of the world, the Fertile Crescent's radical thinking could never be changed by man's most pernicious invention - the nuclear weapon.
If America dropped a bomb on my country and I was the head of gov't, I'd throw a trillion bombs if i could.
My favorite Tee-Shirt of 2006:
NUKE and PAVE
Results and effect would be much different than Japan.

Hypothetically Speaking by Eye.Of.Sage :: NR6 :: Show
Well, hypothetically speaking, if the U.S. did not possess any high tech weapon capabilities, then it would be colonized by the other countries. Imperialism starts all over again.
If, hypothetically speaking, that the U.S. just launched 1000 A-Bombs somewhere in middle east, then other countries will have their excuse to either join the U.S. or be against the U.S.
The U.S. as of right now, is one of the most important country in the world. It's decision can either result in world peace or world war.
