UF Student Tasered and Arrested at Kerry Forum
A student was tasered and arrested at a John Kerry forum on the University of Florida campus yesterday. Andrew Meyer, 21, questioned Kerry about the 2004 presidential election and persisted after the question and answer session was over. According to Steve Orlando, spokesman for the university, "He apparently asked several questions — he went on for quite awhile — then he was asked to stop. … He had used his allotted time. His microphone was cut off then he became upset." An online video shows how the situation escalated to the use of the taser.

Clearly Out of Control, But.. by gnifyus
This kid was clearly out of control and maybe deserved what he got, but on the other hand there were plenty of officers present (including that big guy) to adequately remedy the situation and the use of a taser was not necessary.

yeah, the use of a taser may not have been entirely neccasary, but having watched the video the guy is a proper pillock, so with the taser handy it may just have become tempting…
