If you haven't heard of craigslist.org these days, it's almost safe to say that you must live under a rock. Craigslist.org represents the bow wave of the Internet entrepreneurial spirit and, in many ways, has revolutionized the way people think of business. On craigslist one can check the personals, look for a house, or see what the nightlife is like in your neck of the woods. In a very real sense the site has created an Internet community that allows people to easily access many different facets of life. It is this facility and sense of community that has catapulted the site to its current position of web prominence.
We at OmniNerd, therefore, count it as a great stroke of fortune that Mr. Craig Newmark, the founder of craigslist.org, has taken a little time out of his very busy schedule to answer some questions posed by the O-Nerd staff. We hope you find this interview stimulating and informative.

Read this interesting article on Craig and his list.
While CL is not a perfect site, it does indeed perform the service Newmark intends. I myself have sold a car and bought several pieces of furniture on the site, and it didn't cost me a penny in advertising.
Kudos to Craig for his great site!
