Wired.com is running an article about the world’s ever-growing population and the problems associated. Cited in the article is a clock provided by the U.S. Census that estimates that every second 4.1 people are born, but only 1.8 die. With the world’s population estimated at 6.5 billion and an expected 7 billion by 2012, one can’t help but wonder how much our planet can support and what various governments will do when it becomes a global problem. Will nature run its course and handle the issue, or should we start keeping an eye out for Big Brother?
