There have been recent claims leveled against OmniNerd accusing Mark and I of creating a website awash in machismo. Although we feel that these charges are baseless and an affront to the egalitarian glory that is OmniNerd, we will give voice to our cavilers. Perhaps in the future we will institute some of the changes mentioned in this polemic, but first we must let the reader decide if the accusations are true.
Okay, really this is hilarious.
John, I was going to go with a pastel motif for the site, but willwaddell insisted on using shades of gray and very little color. It had something to do with "he didn't want anyone to know" and "perception of heterosexuality." ...whatever, I don't remember anymore.
But don't get me wrong, willwaddell often shows interest in many of the things you listed. For example, his favorite shape is the swastika, his favorite song is "Panzerleid," and his favorite movie character is Dr. Strangelove.
As you can plainly see, willwaddell is definitely in touch with his feminine side. You make it sound like he's some sort of gay Nazi with something to hide. Ridiculous.
I, being the self-respecting, heterosexual, female, fiancée of Mark and a frequent visitor to this site have found it most necessary to comment on this article. I want Jon to see that although I’m sure his suggestions are well meaning, he is in fact altogether wrong about Omnierd. This site as a whole could not be further from misogynistic. I for one do not see what foot-binding and especially arranged marriages have to do with being welcomed into an intellectual fold. Who says a woman who is incapable of walking lacks the capability to think, or surf the net?
As far as the aesthetics of this site are involved I find the “rigid, black unyielding font” sexy. What more could a woman be drawn to than the raw masculinity of the font on this site. The white background says “sterile”. What woman doesn’t like a clean homepage? The lack of “feminine graphics” on this site is even more welcoming. This site screams, “Women we need you here! We are clearly incapable of decorating a homepage much less a home. Come, enter, and impart to us your knowledge!”
On the topic of content: I read the quiz question provided by Jon and my answer choice was not provided: deep and uninhibited. If that was intended to be an example of what is to come for Omninerd, I opt out. Besides, women never actually take quizzes: we simply read the ads. Perhaps what the site needs in lieu of quizzes are simply a few advertisement banners. I hardly call the lack of advertisements misogynistic. If anything this site needs more content to involve males. I suggest allowing them the freedom to read or not read the articles. Perhaps if more provocative photos of us were placed throughout the site men would have something to focus on whilst deep in thought. If men are disinclined to post they can simply click on the female they choose as the hottest Omnichic of the week. Who says that only intellectual banter is welcome here? Word of mouth among men might spread something like this:
ARCHIE: Dude, huhuuu I found this site with like chicks on it.
JUGHEAD: So dude? There are tons of sites with chicks on it.
ARCHIE: Well this one has totally sweet babes and articles on philosophy and stuff so when your girl walks in you can be like, “I’m reading it for the articles”.
JUGHEAD: So what if you don’t like chicks?
ARCHIE: What do you mean if you don’t like chicks?
JUGHEAD: I mean, uh, yeah dude that sounds hella sweet.
In this instance the site not only provides an alibi for the intellectually disinterested heterosexual, but for the intellectually interested homosexual.
In conclusion, it seems that an end to patriarchy has only led to engendering thoughts that males ought to cater to the opposite sex. If anything the scales should be balanced back in favor of men before we become the domineering insensitive sex that we could become capable of.

Or, like, oh my gosh, you could add an like another normal omninerd academic article on like how Dan Brown's "The DaVinci Code" completely disintegrates John's premise that women are not like, revered, in like a chivalrous way, and like maybe add a few art work's of like DaVinci or something to make John feel more in touch with like his feminine side when reading this site, or something like that.
