Iran to Troll US Coasts
In a translation posted to CNN, the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran reports “The Navy of the Iranian Army will have a powerful presence near the United States borders.” Although no Iranian warships are anywhere near the American east coast, last February, two of their Navy vessels traversed the Suez Canal (which none had done since 1979). The action was announced by their Navy Commander, “the same way that the world arrogant power is present near our marine borders, we, with the help of our sailors who follow the concept of the supreme jurisprudence, shall also establish a powerful presence near the marine borders of the United States.”

Why bother? by Occams
There are plenty of good targets for Iran’s submarines in their own home waters.
Coast guard by Anonymous
How long before the coast guard has to rescue these bozos? Storm after storm blows through the waters they purport to plan on bobbing around in. They are used to the gulf of Arabia which is about as calm as pond. The stupid thing is that when they do get into trouble the morons who run Iran will blame the US for sabotage or something. I hope that when the US does rescue them that they remember that Iran has nothing of value on those ships and simply tows them out of the storm and sends them on their way. It would be a far greater victory over these putzes to hold their hand as they cross the street instead of pushing them in front of a bus.
To save the ships would, in fact, be a thousand times the win compared to sinking them or even watch them sink themselves.
On the other hand if they try something like boarding an American vessel for any reason (Inspection, etc) I hope they instantly capture the ship, arrest the crew and worst of all offer the crew sanctuary in the US while sending any theocrats on board to some kind of nasty prison.
