Dlog on Nerds, Dlog on

Ok, so "Dlog" (short for NerdLog) was our initial poor attempt to mimic "blog." However, it just doesn’t have the same ring so the title of this post is probably the last place you will see it referenced. So what the heck is a NerdLog? Well, check out your user page. You’ll find a very front-page-like user summary followed by the NerdLog. You can write anything you like in your NerdLog. "But no one will know when I write something," you say. Well, you say wrong. Just click the "Users" button in the Pulse (the summary section) on the front page and you’ll find out who has been busy updating their NerdLog.

Additionally, we’ve finally added full text searching for Coffee Shop posts and comments. So search away nerds! I recommend doing the advanced find-everything-I’ve-done search so you can find numbers like 993 and wonder why you’ve spent so much time on this site.

Your 993 makes me laugh in my NR10 sneakers=. :)

I love the new user pages. The nerd logs (your right dlog just doesn’t work) are an amusing, and perverse idea. I do have one teensy, weensy request: I want statistics. The trends are a good start, but my narcissistic (sp?) self would like to see things like my avg comment score, avg time between postings, time since last posting (this especially for the ones who have mysteriously disappeared), etc. Hell, I’d even like these sort of statistics on the nerds as a whole. For example, avg time between postings of a particular rating. What can I say, I’m a math nerd. (Now that I’ve admitted it, I promise to get help this time. I swear.)
