Database of Houston Public Employee Salaries
The Houston Chronicle has posted the 2007 salaries of every public employee in the city. This information is being offered as way for Houston tax payers to see where some of their tax dollars are being spent. Topping the list is the Superintendent of the Houston Independent School District (HISD), Abelardo Saavedra, raking in a whopping total pay of $442,556 ($375,306 base + $67,250 incentive).
So I ask the corporate O-Nerds: How does the pay of these civil servants stack up to your own corporate salaries?

Huh. Interesting. by VnutZ
When I left the Army … if I’d known how much some cops make, I might have gone ahead and become one. One thing I had never considered was how much they could make with overtime! Granted, in the not too distant future I will prefer my salary to those salaries … but right now it’s definitely food for thought.
