Athletes Face Olympic Expulsion
It’s no secret that many people throughout the world are displeased with China’s handling of the Tibet situation. Such sentiments became even more obvious when protesters around the world interfered with the Olympic torch relay in droves calling for China to "Free Tibet; and to address human rights violations. One more wrinkle has been rolled into the fold with the announcement that athletes displaying propaganda during the games, even in their own rooms, are subject to expulsion from the Olympics. The rule itself comes from the IOC (International Olympic Committee) rather than Beijing. Many countries are trying to get the IOC to define exactly what will constitute propaganda so there will not be any gray areas for their athletes to be expelled over.

Taiwan? by VnutZ
Sooo … with all the attention on China for the Olympics, wouldn’t this be Taiwan’s opportune moment to remind the world that they are sitting under/beside China’s thumb? If they wanted people to be sympathetic to their desire for recognized independence, now would seem to be the time.
