Apple Advises Users to Admire, Not Use iPhone 4
The recent iPhone 4’s release came and went with much glory and fanfare from Apple fanatics around the United States. And within hours, the complaints began rolling in about everything. The biggest complaint seemed to center around the new iPhone’s tendency to dramatically attenuate its signal strength when held by human hands. It turns out the antenna, embedded into the outer rim, is attenuated significantly when the bottom left edge is touched (a suiting punishment for mutant, left-handed humans). The problem was so widespread it prompted Steve Jobs himself to comment. Almost as if implying the Apple design paradigm is so beautiful that users should simply admire it for existing, users were told the problem could be fixed by, “Just avoid holding it in that way.”
