Homeless in Cyberspace

Denizens of cyberworlds will soon encounter a new face, the face of digital homelessness. Mensajeros de la Paz, a Spanish nonprofit organization, has seeded Second Life with a homeless child. Named after their organization, Jubilee for short, will serve the purpose of bringing awareness to gamers that children of the world need their help. Owning only a cardboard box and some newspapers, the character holds a sign reading, "Help a child have a second oportunity in his First Life."

There's a part of me that wants to join the game ... just to take the kid's cardboard box. Or even to make a homeless looking character that does street performances next to the kid earning money.

I must be having an evil day.
